At HeyBoss, we understand that your needs may change over time. That’s why our plans are flexible—you can upgrade or downgrade anytime to match your project’s demands. Whether you need more credits for faster development or want to scale down to a lower plan, we’ve got you covered.

How to Upgrade or Downgrade

1. Go to your Profile.

2. Navigate to Subscription.

3. Scroll down to the Choose Your Plan section

  • Click Downgrade: A pop-up will notify you of the features you’ll lose—click Yes to confirm

  • Click Upgrade: You’ll be redirected to Stripe, where you can pay the additional cost. Once payment is completed, your upgrade is applied immediately

Upgrading Your Subscription

When you upgrade your plan, you’ll receive the new plan’s credits immediately, and you’ll be charged for the new plan. Your previous plan’s future charges will be canceled.

Scenario 1: Upgrading from $20/month to $50/month (Monthly Plans)

  • You purchased the $20/month plan on March 12.

  • You upgrade to the $50/month plan on March 17.

    • You immediately receive 50 credits.

    • You are charged $50 on March 17.

    • Your next month's $20 charge is canceled (April 12 won’t charge $20).

    • Your new billing cycle starts on March 17, meaning the next charge of $50 will be on April 17.

📌 Note: Upgrading resets your billing cycle, meaning your next charge date will adjust to match the new upgrade date.

Scenario 2: Upgrading from $50/year to $100/year (Annual Plans)

  • You purchased the $50/year plan on March 12 and paid $500 upfront.

  • You upgrade to the $100/year plan on March 14.

    • You immediately receive 100 credits.

    • You are charged $1000 on March 14 (full price for the upgraded plan).

    • Your previous $500 payment for the $50/year plan is canceled and refunded manually.

    • On April 12, you won’t receive credits or be charged (since you already paid for the annual plan).

    • Your next credit drop of 100 credits will happen on March 14 next year.

📌 Note: If you purchased an annual plan and see a "30-day free trial," please ignore it—this was an old bug. Contact [email protected] if you need help.

Downgrading Your Subscription

When you downgrade, you keep your current month’s credits, and the downgrade takes effect in the next billing cycle. Your billing cycle remains the same.

Scenario 3: Downgrading from $50/month to $20/month (Monthly Plans)

  • You purchased the $50/month plan on March 12.

  • You downgrade to the $20/month plan on March 17.

    • Your current 50 credits remain unchanged.

    • Your next month’s $50 charge is canceled (April 12 won’t charge $50).

    • On April 12 (not April 17), you will be charged $20, and you’ll receive 20 credits.

    • Your billing cycle remains on the 12th of each month.

📌 Note: Unlike upgrades, downgrades do not reset your billing cycle.
