How to Connect Your Own Domain on HeyBoss

When publishing a project on HeyBoss, you can choose between two domain options based on your needs. Whether you're just getting started or building a brand, you can quickly launch your own online website!

🟢 Option 1: Use HeyBoss Default Domain (Best for Beginners)

Steps:

  1. Click "Publish".

  2. In the pop-up window, choose "Host on a free HeyBoss domain"(default).

  3. A unique link will be automatically generated (e.g., yourproject.heyboss.tech.).

  4. Click "View project" to view your website.

Advantages:

  • Instantly launch your project with zero setup.

  • No need to purchase a domain or configure DNS.

  • Ideal for testing, showcasing portfolios, or internal sharing.

🟡 Option 2: Connect Your Own Custom Domain (For Brands & Subscribers)

Linking a custom domain not only gives your site a more professional look, but also lays the foundation for future marketing, team growth, and customer trust.

Steps:

  1. Click "Publish".

  2. In the pop-up window, select "connect my own domain ".

  3. Enter your domain (e.g., yourbrand.com).

  4. The system will attempt to auto-detect your domain registrar (e.g., GoDaddy).

  5. Log in to your domain provider registrar account — the system will configure the domain automatically.

  6. Click "Done" and "View project" your site will go live on your custom domain within a few minutes!

If Your Registrar Isn’t Detected: Manual Setup

  1. Scroll to the bottom and click “Go to our manual setup.”

  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to add an A Record in your domain provider's domain management panel.

  3. After saving, return to HeyBoss and click "Done" and then "Publish".

  4. Your custom domain will go live shortly.
